I helped my grandparents with an estate sale this last weekend. They were selling some of grandmas stuff. I saw this really cool old file cabinet and just had to have it. It is soo cool. I can now throw away all the shoe boxes I have been storing all this important stuff in. I am so happy. I spent like 10 hours cleaning my room and throwing things away - I threw away a ton of stuff. I think I prefer lawn care to cleaning my room...

I feel absolutely fantastic! I have recieved several complaints that all I ever post are sad things and nothing happy. Its not because nothing ever happy ever happens to me, in fact I am almost always feeling terrific ;) The reason is that sad things only happen a couple times a day and so they stick out in my mind more then happy things because life for me is always great. I am going to try and change my mindset, and instead of recalling all the bad things that happen, try and think of the best things that happen, or at least a good healthy mix of both instead of being so biased towards evil. I dont really think so negative toward everything as my blog suggests. I am hoping that the impression I leave with people is happiness rather then cruelty. So, to start of my fresh beginning, I am going to put a picture of a star I designed yesterday for a 50's style web site. I am probably going to get a few thousand at least off this design because it is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!

tires frustrate me sometimes. The one in the picture was being persnickety today, and refused to stay pumped up. I punished it(and a few other things...) but it still wouldnt behave. I decided to put it in time out and use the spare instead. Mr. Spare wasn't brave enough to face the roads though, so I ripped it off the trailer with great anger, and drove them to a place where I thought maybe they would be straightened out and behave for me. They disciplined both tires for quite a while, slapping them with black tar to get them back into shape. When they finally decided to be obedient, I drove them home, and placed the spare back in its comfortable position, and firmly strapped the other tire in its proper place. They gave me no more trouble for the rest of the day, although threw me off two hours. When will they ever grow up??

rain

it hasn't rained very much in several weeks. The cracks in the ground were proof of that. This morning I woke up to the pounding rain. It was a good feeling. I don't have to work today! Yay. Now hopefully this will encourage more growth in the grass. It hasnt been growing much lately and so several of my yards haven't needed weekly cuts. No More!

weird names

I think its really funny when you go to certain places and they have all these weird names for their products. Whats not as funny is when the people behind the counter can't accept anything but that name for that product. I went to an ice cream shop the other day, and decided on a scoop of chocolate(excuse me, it is actually called chocolated lovers trash) and a scoop of coffee ripple, the only coffee related ice cream they sell. When I order, I say "may I please have a scoop of your chocolate trash and a scoop of your coffee ice cream"? She says ok and the girl goes and starts to fill my order, then comes back and says, "we don't sell coffee ice cream but we do have coffee ripple, would you prefer that"? Im like, "YES!! Whatever your fancy name is for coffee, I want it!" At a coffee shop I visited, I asked for a frap, and the guy behind the counter said - "your lookin at the wrong place, starbucks is right across the road. We have a frozen beverage though if you want it." "OK... umm can I please have a mocha frozen beverage with 2 extra shots then?" At least Starbucks doesnt get mad when I order a large chai rather then some other weird name for it. I think a couple smoothie places just want to make you feel odd when you go there - its like I go up to the counter and say: "May I please have a Tropical Rainforest Strawberry Mango Maui?" Somebody had fun coming up with all these stupid names.

People approaching - RUN!

Anytime I am out mowing, I am constantly praying that the people won't come out to talk to me. I just want to get the yard done and get on with the next one. Without fail though, someone will come out of the house when they hear the equipment roar. I then can dread what will be coming. It will be someone who wants to save a stamp so they come out to pay me, someone who wants me to do another thing for them in their yard, or, the worst, they come out to watch my every move and correct me anytime I miss a spot or they think I have done something wrong. Wow, sometimes I just wish that I was working for houses that were uninhabited and checks just magically appeared from them. Its so much fun to be watched and criticized - slows down work tremendously because they have to call out to me and I have to shut off the mower and talk to them about my work, or, if its my lucky day, they'll tell me all about the community gossip. Such Fun! Anyway, now you know what I'm really feeling like when I mow the grass... lol, just kidding.

little things make big things work

Its amazing to me how this little thing makes my mower work. Its blown twice since I've owned it(if you look in the middle of the yellow part you can see that the metal part is broken) and it is crazy because it just like turns off when the fuse blows. Like, the whole thing. the only way to get it to turn over is if you disconnect the wires and manually overpass all the computer stuff. it still wont start though. I dont know its just weird how like this 50 cent item keeps my mower running. It is very refreshing to find out it was just the fuse that was preventing me from mowing. I mean, man, a mower just quiting isnt a good sign and so I am always happy when its the fuse. I finally just went out and splurged. I spend 2.50 on a 5 pack of these things.
UPDATE.
So I wrote that yesterday and saved it as a draft. how ironic should it be, today I am mowing the worst yard of my life and what should happen, 3, yes 3 fuses blow. WHY? ok, so I get kind of mad since I only had a five pack and now I am down to one. I think I figured out why 3 of them blew though so its all good. I just wish the mower would stop causing headaches for me. I don't appreciate it!

so long

Being done with finals and school and all that makes me happy. Its kind of crazy to think that I worked this hard all semester only to be sitting here, anxiously waiting to see a letter. Why work so hard just to see someone grade your performance with a letter. its sad. I am afraid my profs are going to get my initials mixed up with the grades and just give me a bunch of C's. Amazing how disappointed I [will] get after these 48 hours have passed. My vain hopes for a 4.0 semester when I view the list of courses. My gpa will inevitably round to a 2.25. As you can see I am terribly optimistic. The picture shown is a view of most everything that I did or worked with this semester alone. I still have some stuff in the truck but thats the majority of it. I wrote a lot of stuff this semester, I dont know, it was like a take a whole bunch of notes semester. I mean like I never have really been a notecards person, like I dont think they help very much. Anyway, I was at the dollar store and saw like 250 of them for well, a dollar. I just couldnt pass it up and so when I had them sitting in the car, I thought, hmm, maybe I should do something with those. So in preparation for finals I decided to write out notecards for everything. So like every thing covered, I wrote a notecard. What Fun!! I became so obsessive about it, it became a goal to see if I could get through all 250 notecards in 2 days. I think I still have over a hundred left, but hey, I have quite a stack of notecards. Did I ever look at the things again? I think the main reason I kept doing it was because it was actually proof that I was at least trying to prepare for these finals. Anyway, so there all missing from the picture because there still in the truck, but who cares. Happy days...
